AFAIK RG2 and RG3 sound identical, there was no upgrade to the sounds, just the UI and functionality that changed and the ability to use a guitar-hero style controller for more "realism", but as this requires you to input the chord progression into your sequencer first it seemed a bit of a faff and I decided that it was just easier play on a keyboard in real time as before.Truly realistic sounding solo and accompaniment Guitars ![]() It annoyed me a lot at the time and I didn't buy it for that reason. ![]() I suggested that they should at least make demo downloaders aware of this, but I have no idea if they implemented that or not. Musiclab's reply to my questioning this was that it is intended behaviour and they couldn't really seem to appreciate that it is a not a very good idea for those who own earlier versions and want to try the new one before buying. There are demos of both available but beware of RG3 demo as it overwrites your existing RG installation and so turns your fully functional multi guitar licenced version into a limited (one guitar only) demo version and the only way out of it is to uninstall the demo and then re-install your existing version. ![]()
